Vicci Moore and Adamo Ciarallo

Adamo and Vicci started their blues dancing journey together in London, where they nurtured and grew the blues dance scene, setting up two weekly blues dance events – Sin City Blues and Stompin’ the Blues – plus Blues at The Ritzy, a monthly live music event. They created Europe’s first blues dance performance troupe, The Down and Outs, and are co-organizers of Espanish Blues Festival in Madrid.

Adamo and Vicci have an incredible chemistry on the dance floor, bringing intensity, elegance and musicality to the dance. Their passion for blues is evident in their inspiring classes, giving dynamic and energetic lessons with a focus on creativity, communication and connection within the partnership, developing a relationship with the music, and encouraging dancers to find their own blues voice.

Both trained teachers, Vicci and Adamo love to create new and intuitive ways to communicate technical concepts to their students. Their lessons are interactive and interdisciplinary involving drawing, discussions, giant elastic bands and even chopsticks!!!

They believe your body is a musical instrument and your dancing is the music you play, and will help you to discover the way your body moves in a whole new light. By watching them dance, or joining their classes you will learn to really ‘feel’ the blues!

Adamo Ciarallo

Adamo is dedicated to nurturing, developing, and promoting the blues scene in Europe. Adamo also spreads his love for blues dancing and helps to develop strong blues communities in other local scenes in Europe and beyond. He is the co-founder and organizer of Espanish Blues Festival, Spain’s first ever blues dance festival.

Adamo has a professional qualification in teaching adults and he sees his role as teacher to facilitate the classroom in response to learner’s needs, enabling all students to achieve to their potential. His classes focus on highlighting the relationship between the dancers and the music and the importance of personal expression and creativity.

He loves social dancing, teaching, competing, and listening to music, and spends his ‘spare’ time reading and learning about the history of the dance forms he loves so much. But what makes Adamo’s dancing life worthwhile is the commitment, enthusiasm, and energy of his students and everybody else around in what he describes as “this beautiful community of dancers”.

Vicci Moore

Vicci is a professional dancer, specialising in blues dance. There is nothing she loves more in the world than dancing! She has a broad knowledge of dance and the body, training initially as a solo dancer and gaining a 1st class honour’s degree in Contemporary Dance and Choreography, and a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology. Her background in a variety of solo dances has been invaluable in her partner dancing, and she is known for approaching her blues dancing with grace, fluidity and intense body awareness.

As a teacher, Vicci is known for her warm and friendly approach. In her teaching and dancing she focuses on quality of movement, connection with your own body and your partner, fluid motion and body awareness; tools which enable creativity and personal expression in your dancing. She believes in giving people the tools to become their own dancer and encourages all her students to find their own blues voice.
